What is The Global Conspiracy Project?

iCompositions has well over 90,000 members and many conversations have been had between members about how powerful iCompositions could be as a community if everyone rallied together to plug and promote one project. The internet has opened up a vast amount of opportunities for independent musicians and music lovers alike and in 2009 Rage Against The Machine were propelled to the Christmas number 1 spot in Britain all because of a campaign on Facebook to get them there. The Global Conspiracy Project aims to use a similar model to promote and sell a charity song, written, performed and promoted by iCompositions members to raise well needed money for SOS Children’s Villages who look after orphans in over 124 countries worldwide, including a massive campaign to help the children who have lost their parents in the recent Haiti earthquakes.

The Global Conspiracy Project has the official backing of iCompositions.com and has distribution to iTunes and other download sites through Patch Records for the song “Many Hands Many Voices” that is currently being produced by a large number of iCompositions members. The song has already visited every habitable continent on the planet, making stops in England, France, Australia, Argentina, India, South Africa and America so far. It features both well-known and not-so-well-known iComp artists and has been a true collaboration spanning the 4 corners of the globe.

How Can I Help?

If you would like to be involved in The Global Conspiracy Project, there are many things that you can do to help. Unfortunately there is only limited space for the amount of musicians that can work on a single five minute song, but for all you budding singers, there is a large choir piece that you can join in on here: http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=133260 – This will form the outro of the song.

What we really need are enthusiastic people who are prepared to plug and promote the project through any means possible. You could:

• Add links from your personal website, myspace, facebook or twitter pages to www.icompositions.com/artists/GlobalConspiracyProject
• Add this page to your favourites
• Tell your friends and family – e-mail everyone you know!
• Make a video
• Design a flyer or poster
• Get your local TV, radio or press involved

…or any other creative ways you can think of to raise awareness of what we are trying to achieve. We can supply you with web banners, logos, pictures and other information, so drop us a message here if you require anything to work with to help this project progress!

XTT on iCompositions and BandMix

Saturday, December 26th, 2009

XTT has just added 2 more hosting sites to the list, I was perusing the apple message boards and asked if there was a place to showcase my tunes there and someone recommended iCompositions.com and it is actually pretty cool and geared towards mac users, I already got a couple of good reviews too.

While I was perusing  iCompositions.com there was a banner ad for another cool site called BandMix.com which is also for indy artists which I also thought is pretty cool. I been looking for some cool indy artist communities and I am glad I found them, I am going to keep looking too.

XTT on signmeto.roadrunnerrecords.com

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Here is a site I wish was around back in the glory days (I feel like an old man saying that! fuck I am an old man) on one of the most coveted record labels in the heavy metal world, Road Runner Records that signed some of my most favorite bands and heavy metal heroes of all time.

I actually created the artist profile here a few months ago but I made a big mistake creating it at work behind a firewall which was messed up, I had troubles uploading the songs and all the other stuff you need to upload, then it didnt show up on the artist list which really perplexed me for a while, then I finally figured out a work around, I changed my email address and user name and made a new profile and thankfully it worked. Now I have a nice profile set at signmeto.roadrunnerrecords.com and below are some screen shots of the glory:

This is what the it looked like on the homepage for few days of glory and heavy metal ecstasy I had on the charts in the new artist section and the other artists I shard that day or 2 with:

This screen shot below is what it looked like with most of the page I could fit in the screen shot, which I will remember for the rest of forever:

To add to the glory, below is a snap shot of the awesome first review the song “Warning” received within the first few days it was posted which I am obviously very proud of, check the pic below:

Garageband.com track of the day award!

Friday, September 4th, 2009

It was issued Sep. 3 2009, coolness! The is for the song now called “Warning” the original title wasn’t quite as user friendly so I decided to change it, But I am very proud that it received an award like this, may not be a big deal to you, but it’s a fuckin big deal to me! haha!
