XTT song “Dreamin Away” for Frets on Fire now featuring Guitar, Bass and Drums

Friday, March 19th, 2010

This was the sixth song I fretted for guitar and today I gave adding bass and drum tracks a try and I am pretty happy with the results! So this is now the first song I fretted for Drums and Bass, Fretting the Bass part was easy and I thought the drums would be a challenge but it turned out to be pretty easy too. The old download file was replaced by the new one that now features Guitar, Drums and Bass with all difficulties (Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert) feel free to give it a try, I love playing the drums for this song on real drums and playing the frets on fire version is a lot of fun too.

Feel free to download and rock out, Peace!

Creating a midi beat with EZDrummer tutorial

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

I made this simple tutorial for fun to demonstrate how easy it is to make/edit a midi beat using EZDrummer with garageband 3 on Mac OSX tiger. I have been using it for about 5 months now and I feel really comfortable with it, check out this tutorial I made to see how easy it is. (be sure after you start the video to make it full screen)

The Ultimate Drum Software

Friday, October 9th, 2009

Not long ago my 20 year old drum machine broke, it will not power on. At first I was very upset about and I started shopping around for something to replace it because I felt I was on a creative streak of writing new songs and it turned out to be a blessing because I discovered EZ Drummer by Toontrack. I shopped around quite a bit and read many reviews and I found a cost effective solution which was the Korg Nanopad and it came with EZ Drummer Lite Software which is a plug in for recording software like garage band, logic, ableton Live and many others and within a couple of days (in my spare time) I had the hang of it and pumped out 5 songs in a fraction of the time it took with my drum machine not to mention all the pre made midi beats that it comes with make it that much easier too.

So at this point I highly recommend it to any musician and if your a drummer don’t get your panties caught in a bunch because you can make your drum kit electronic and have perfect quality sounds if you record with it.

If your not convinced just go to toontrack.com and watch the video’s and from there you will see the power of toontracks software and not to mention the support portal and forum has not let me down yet and actually impressed me.

I tried about 3 other softwares demo’s that compete but there is no comparison toontrack is on the top of the pile.

The Beat Lab

The Beat Lab

Here is a picture of the beat labratory / man cave, this is where I drop some phat ass beats or lay down some funky ass rhythms on guitar or funky ass bass lines all by me lonesome. most of the stuff is pretty old except my guitar and the small ibanez amp but it gets the job done. the bass and guitar hanging on the wall are more like ornaments cause they are all messed up, my usable guitar and bass are tucked away safely in the case’s on the right.
