Who is this lesson for:

• People who want to learn to PLAY ROCK RHYTHM GUITAR, NOW or some time TODAY for FREE and have just purchased or received an electric guitar.
• People who are into playing Rock Music on the heavy side such as hard rock, metal, thrash and so on, but of course an appreciation of music in general.

How long does this lesson take?

That is really up to you, In reality, I would imagine within a day of practicing for hours you should feel triumphant. all together the video is XX minutes long , I lay out the steps and concepts in a cheat sheet style and in a sequence that gets you comfortable and builds you up.

Once you start to learn you will listen to music in a different perspective as it brings you up to speed in understanding the rock guitarist world by sharing tips and making you aware of the practices that are most commonly used by the average rock rhythm guitar player.

Results and benefits you should expect in short time:

• During this lesson and by the end of this lesson you should be able to play simple rock guitar rhythms!
• Start creating your own rhythms right away!
• You should also be able to go to a rehearsal studio (or garage, basement, etc) with an average drummer and jam some simple rhythms over strait forward beats.

• Quickly learn songs using the tabs from the internet without the cost of lessons from a teacher at an average of $70 an hour.

Intro:

Welcome to the how to play rock rhythm guitar in one lesson video! this lesson came about because I was telling a friend I could have him playing rhythm guitar in one lesson and he went and bought a guitar and showed up at my house a few days later and put me to the test and it proved to work and he started making up his own songs that day, but never mind that, see for yourself, seek the truth.

Suggestions to the beginner:

If you are thinking of buying an electric guitar to play rock music, I suggest purchasing an all-in-one “Value Package“, “bundle” or “starter kit” that typically includes a guitar, small amp, picks, strap, tuner, cable, carry case, etc. that contains everything you may need in one box, typically these days you can get them at department stores and plenty of online music stores also carry these “Value Packages” or “starter kits”.  I would also recommend staying away from inexpensive guitars that are equipped with “tremolo systems” also known as “whammy bars” because they simply knock cheap guitars out of tune too easily and it can discourage and frustrate a beginner and throw off the beginners tuning ear, Usually on expensive guitars with “lock systems” this is not a problem.
